Cost Per Day Calculator
Break a monthly cost into the per-day figure that makes spending decisions concrete.
“It costs $90 a month” feels abstract. “It costs $3 a day, every single day” feels different. This calculator turns a monthly amount into per-day and yearly views.

How is this calculated?
Per day = monthly amount ÷ days per month (the default 30 is an average). Per year = monthly × 12. Change the days-per-month to 28–31 to match a specific month.
Results are estimates for general information only — always verify with a professional or official source before acting on them.

Frequently asked questions
What does the days-per-month field actually change?
It controls how finely the monthly amount is divided. At 30 days a $90 cost is $3.00 a day; spread over 31 days the same $90 is $2.90 a day. The per-day figure only describes a specific month truthfully if you enter that month’s real day count.
Is the per-day figure what I am charged each day?
No — it is an average, not a daily charge. A $90 monthly subscription is not billed $3 a day; it is billed once, and the per-day number simply spreads it out. That reframing is the useful part, because it makes a bill comparable with a daily coffee or a bus fare.
Does the yearly figure depend on the days per month?
No. The yearly output is always the monthly amount × 12, whatever you set for days per month, so you can change the day count freely without breaking the annual number. If you only expect to keep the cost for part of a year, multiply the monthly amount by those months instead and treat the yearly figure as an upper bound.
Why use this instead of the subscription calculator?
Use this one for a single cost when you want the daily framing sharpened. Use the Subscription Cost Calculator when you want several subscriptions added together with five- and ten-year totals, or the Hidden Expense Calculator if the cost is one of many small habits worth grouping.
