Revolving credit

Revolving credit is a borrowing arrangement where you can draw money up to a limit, repay it, and draw again without reapplying. Credit cards and overdraft facilities are the familiar examples. Interest is normally charged only on the amount currently outstanding.

The balance can stay open indefinitely as long as you keep paying at least the minimum. Unlike an instalment loan, nothing in the arrangement forces the debt to come to an end.
