Pension contribution
A pension contribution is money set aside during your working life into a retirement account, usually taken from your pay or paid directly by you. Contributions may attract tax relief or be topped up by an employer, and the rules on limits, access and taxation vary widely between countries.
Because retirement saving competes with today's spending, contributions are often postponed. Checking what your scheme offers and what it costs you now can make that trade-off clearer.
